INTRODUCTION
RACE DETAILS
FEARLESS RACES hosts professional quality endurance races with unique and exciting twists that set us apart from the competition. All of our races are designed to be what we call Competitively Fun, great for both beginners and experienced racers. We know not everyone can win his or her division, but everyone can have an amazing time at a race. That is why all Fearless Races strive to provide the best overall race experience for the weekend warrior and elite athlete alike.
CONCEPT
FEARLESS TRIATHLON is a super sprint triathlon series for age-groupers and elites consisting of short, fast and fun racing formats. Don't be fooled by the short distances as your physical and mental strength will be tested as our double super sprint requires multiple transitions and completing each discipline twice through! Diving back in to the water for your second swim (like in our Fall Event) or heading out for your second run is an exhilarating feeling that must be experienced! Races are completed in spectator friendly venues allowing fans to see racers complete multiple swim, bike and run legs on a closed course.
EXPO
The expo is in the center of all the race day action. We have designed our course so the race passes through the expo area allowing spectators the opportunity to engage with expo vendors. No more standing around waiting for hours with only a fleeting glimpse of your favorite athlete!
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Swim: The 375m u-shaped course at South Shores has 4 buoys. Swimmers will make a 90 degree Left turn around the 2nd & 3rd buoys.

Bike: 10K course starting at the South Shores Park Transition Area riding to Fiesta Island, riding once around the whole perimeter of the Island, exiting the Island, and returning to Transition by the same route. The entire bike course will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Run: 2.5K course includes a blend of concrete and asphalt surface through Rose Marie Starns South Shores Park.

The 5K Run course is a double looped lollipop course almost entirely on asphalt and concrete with a small hard packed dirt trail section (less than 1/4 mile on each loop).

RACE DESCRIPTIONS
Double Super Sprint: Athletes registered for the Double Super Sprint will complete the above course twice back to back transitioning into their swim gear at the conclusion of the first Run and beginning the course for a second time.

Super Sprint: Athletes registered for the Super Sprint race will complete the above course once as in a traditional triathlon.

Team Relay: Each Team must consist of 2 members who will complete the above course once each back to back. One team member will be waiting in a designated area of Transition while the other member is racing. The first team member to race will finish their run where their teammate is waiting in transition and will transfer their timing chip to the other member, at which time the second member may begin the swim course. The team finishes the race when the second member crosses the finish line at the end of their run. The first team member may join their teammate during the final 100m of the run course at the entrance to the finish chute if they would like to cross the finish line together.
